Become a volunteer for Project YUNIT!

Project YUNIT currently serves nine (9) partner schools in Cebu City and Cebu Province, with more than 17,000 learners, more than 100 teachers, and over 200 families. We conduct educational trainings in awareness and sensitization, livelihood and entrepreneurship, and information technology skills to our student-beneficiaries, teachers, and members of Parent-Teacher Associations (PTAs). Each person we serve has a unique reason to have a better life in their communities.

We are currently looking for volunteer workers who can carry out duties for the following endeavors:

Volunteer Trainers for the Training for the Federation of PTAs (FPTAs)

We are looking for interested PTA officers to become Volunteer Trainers for the Pilot Training for the Federation of PTAs (FPTAs).

Who can qualify?

  • Division-level PTA officers
  • District-level PTA officers

Who are expected to be Volunteer PTA Trainers?

  • Those with volunteer work and/or teaching or training experience.
  • Must undergo 2 half-days or 8 hours of training.
  • Must be available within the 1st Quarter of the School Year.
  • Must be willing to travel to schools within Cebu City and/or Cebu Province

What are the duties and responsibilities of the Volunteer PTA Trainer?

  • Train school PTA (SPTA) officers on the policies of DepEd Order 13, Series of 2022 (Omnibus Guidelines on the Regulation of Operations of the Parent-Teacher Associations).
  • Comply with the policies and regulations of Children of Asia.
  • Other duties that may be assigned to the volunteer by Children of Asia.

What are the requirements to become a Volunteer PTA Trainer?

  1. Résumé or Curriculum Vitae (CV)
  2. Letter of Intent
  3. Certificate of Completion – UNICEF AGORA Course “Child rights and why they matter” – see attached instructions  on how to enroll
  4. Confidentiality Clause 2022 – see attachment
  5. Child Protection Policy 2022 – see attachment
  6. Volunteer Service Agreement Form – see attached sample

  • Community Program (Hipodromo, Mabolo, Barrio Luz, Taboan, Sawang Calero, Pahina San Nicolas, Suba, etc.)

Cebu Province Programs:

  • Alegría
  • Daanbantayan
  • Medellín
  • Minglanilla
