Project YUNIT

“YUNIT under covid-19” (Youth United for Network and Information Technology) Project is a 3-year project led by Children of Asia Philippines, a French international NGO with more than 30 years of expertise in providing educational support to underprivileged children in South-East Asia. Through a dynamic partnership with DepEd Cebu City and Cebu Province, the DSWD as well as socially responsible corporations and institutions, Children of Asia is scaling up its support to benefit more than 17,000 children, 200 families, 90 teachers, 9 schools, and 9 parent-teacher associations (PTAs) from Cebu island. YUNIT’s objective is to ensure educational continuity, protection, and employability for disadvantaged children by means of IT equipment and training to the teachers, parents, and children from selected schools, direct financial and social support to the children, and livelihood opportunities to their families.

YUNIT has started this July 6th, 2021 with the generous support of (AFD) Agence Française de Développement (Translation: French Development Agency) as well as private donors, private foundations both Filipino such as Sun Life Foundation and French such as Lama and Cassiopée foundations.

Socio-Educational Sponsorship and Child protection – Individual, Collective social follow-up and Awareness training for 9 schools and 200 sponsored children

Equipment and training for the 9 PTAs and 20 families of sponsored children per year.
