The 2nd year of Participatory Assessment for Project YUNIT in the South programs was held on October 15, 2022 at Inghoy National High School and on October 16, 2022 at Madridejos National High School, both in Alegría, Cebu. Each session was attended by the members of the School PTA (SPTA) and the Supreme Student Government of the said schools.
The session started with introducing the members of the audience. Following it was a session on the Child Rights Approach wherein attendees were asked to answer a survey about their knowledge of the United Nations Convention of the Rights of the Child (UNCRC), and showing of a series of video presentation of the UNCRC. Next to follow was a series of video training on Gender Sensitivity and PWD Inclusion. Later, the PTA presented their financial reports and current budget. In the afternoon session, the attendees created their Gender Sensitive Action Plan which consists of objectives to take action all the concerns and issues of the PTA and SSG. Furthermore, they were then asked to vote for their respective Focal Persons for the three thematics under Project YUNIT, namely ICT, Awareness, and Livelihood. Finally, the attendees were then presented the IGA Continuity Plan.
This activity was possible with the efforts of the Project YUNIT team, and the support of the partner schools.
