Project YUNIT of Children of Asia Philippines has recently concluded its first leg of Focal Person Training for members of Parent-Teacher Associations (PTAs) of its partner schools in Cebu City and the Municipality of Minglanilla last March 19 and 26, 2022, held at the Mabolo National High School, Cebu City. Participating schools included Barrio Luz National High School, Mabolo Elementary School, Zapatera Elementary School, Vito Elementary School, and the host school, Mabolo National High School.
The Focal Person Training series focuses on building up skills of the future trainers and implementers of the different projects that are conducted by the partner schools of the organization. The participants were divided into three groups, namely: Awareness, Livelihood, and Information Technology, and were given breakout sessions throughout the two full sessions of the training. Facilitators during the trainer include Ms. Joyce Lapatha, Training Center Coordinator; Ms. Kathlen Cosares-Labita, Deputy Education Program Director; Mr. Jonathan Aro, Community & Entrepreneurship Development Officer, and Mr. Kenneth Porio, IT Admin and Trainer.
The next legs of Focal Person Training will be held on April 2-3, 2022 at Medellín, Cebu, and on April 23-24, 2022 at Alegría, Cebu.
