A successful training has commenced for the 1st and 2nd batches of the IT Hard Skills Training 2023, a part of the Professional Integration Training 2023 held at the Almacen-Torevillas National High School in Medellín, Cebu on April 15-16, 2023, and at Daanbantayan National High School, Daanbantayan, Cebu on April 22-23, 2023. Participating in the training are the student-beneficiaries from the Daanbantayan and Medellin programs.
The theme of the IT Hard Skills Training is “Mobile Focused and Cloud Computing Solutions in the Age of Hybrid Work and Distance Learning”. The topics for the two-weekend training session focus on cloud-based solutions that will help students go through the “new normal” of work and learning. It was facilitated by YUNIT IT trainers, Mr. Kenneth Porio and Mr. Vincent Gonzales.
Topics in the training include Computational Thinking, Google Docs, Google Forms, Doing Research Using Google Tools, Mobile App Development using Thunkable, Basic Photography and Videography using Mobile Tools, and Basic Computer Hardware Assembly.
Alongside the IT Training, the English Proficiency Training was also held simultaneously with their trainer, Mr. Francis Tuñacao, focusing on corporate and business English proficiency skills.
This is the first of many series of skills training that is held in cooperation with Children of Asia Philippines, Project YUNIT, and Gabay Training Center, with the support of AFD and Sun Life Foundation.
