On Sunday, April 24, 2022, a turnover ceremony was held at the Inghoy National High School (INHS), in Sitio Inghoy, Barangay Valencia, Alegría, Cebu. It was attended by faculty, staff, and members of the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) of INHS, and staff of Children of Asia Philippines – Project YUNIT.
The school had faced challenges in serving its learners during the COVID-19 pandemic, primarily due to its far distance from the town proper and the difficulty of terrain leading to its location. Moreover, its access to technology is further hampered by the lack of IT infrastructure in the area. Despite the challenges, it did not stop Project YUNIT’s goal to provide continuity in education to INHS, and indeed it concluded with success.
INHS faculty received twelve (12) laptop computers, twelve (12) pocket wifi units, and a digital duplicator. Meanwhile, the PTA of the same school received a laptop computer, a pocket wifi unit, and an inkjet printer.
The provisioning of ICT equipment was made possible by Project YUNIT through the efforts of its co-founders: Children of Asia Philippines and Agence Française de Développement (AFD), the French Development Agency.
