COA-PH Announces Departure of Project Manager, Sir Allan Obispo

Project YUNIT of Children of Asia Philippines (COA-PH) announces the resignation and departure of Mr. Allan Christian Obispo, the outgoing IT Director and Project Manager, from the said organization, effective March 15, 2023.

Sir Allan, as called by his colleagues, has been with Children of Asia since the beginning of Project YUNIT in July 2021. He has spearheaded the YUNIT (Youth United Network in Information Technology) Project with COA-PH to the nine (9) partner schools in Cebu City and Cebu Province. He established partnerships with the Department of Education Region VII through the Division of Cebu City and the Division of Cebu Province, together with the staff of Children of Asia and its co-founder AFD (Agence Française de Développement). He gave way to building the Project YUNIT team throughout its first year, including: Mr. Arnaud Maire, Deputy Project Manager; Mr. Kenneth Porio, IT Admin and Trainer; Mr. Vincent Gonzales, IT Admin and Support; and Mr. Jonathan Aro, Community Entrepreneurship and Development Officer. Through the team, the project’s deliverables have been able to come into fruition in its different thematics: Information Technology, Awareness and Sensitization, and Livelihood and Small Business.

Through his leadership, Project YUNIT has successfully conducted the following activities: turnover of ICT equipment to the 9 partner schools in Cebu City and Cebu Province; ICT Hard Skills Training of COA-PH beneficiaries through Gabay Training Center; Participatory Assessment of 9 partner schools; Focal Person Training of PTAs and SSGs of the 9 partner schools; Skills training for women in participation with EQUALS HDS; monthly Project Management Unit meetings, and annual Steering Committee meetings.

It was a great experience to work with such a kind gentleman like you. Thank you very much for the hard work and dedication you’ve shown in the past 18 months as the IT Director and Project Manager of Project YUNIT. We thank you for the shared moments and meaningful friendships that we will cherish forever.
