Children of Asia Philippines (COA-PH) celebrated its first-ever Year-End Recognition Party last December 16, 2022, in a hybrid setup from the Project YUNIT office in Lahug, Cebu City.
The program aimed to recognize the efforts and impact of our valued members in the organization. The event was broadcasted live on Zoom and Facebook, and was hosted by Ms. Kezia Ganton, Social Worker for Carreta and Alegria Program, and Mr. Kenneth Porio, IT Admin and Support.
The program began with a Recognition Ceremony for all the programs in COA-PH, namely: Project YUNIT Educations Program, Gabay Training Center, DICE Diversity, Inclusion, & Children Empowerment, and Admin & Finance. Each program gave their review of activities and events they have conducted in the previous year 2022, and gave their recognition to the sponsors that support their respective programs.
A Recognition Ceremony was then given to COA-PH team members who showed exemplary performance for the year 2022:
- Loyalty Awards – Ms. Maricar Josol (DICE) & Mrs. Jocelyn Nodalo (DICE) for serving 5 years in DICE. Mr. Roy & Mrs. Recelyn Demecillo (Alegria PVs) for serving 13 years in COA.
- Volunteer of the Year – Mrs. Jo-ann Samonte (Carreta PV)
- Rising Star of the Year – Ms. Julie Ann Lucero (GTC)
- Employee of the Year – Ms. Kirsti Jeane Quisido (GTC)
The beneficiaries and partners of COA-PH were also recognized, namely:
- Children from Alegria & Minglanilla Programs
- Children from Carreta, Community, & Ermita Programs
- Children from Medellin & Daanbantayan Programs
- Partners from DSWD, DepEd, Schools & LGUs (from Almacen-Torrevillas NHS, Daanbantayan NHS, Mabolo NHS, Mabolo ES, Zapatera ES, Barrio Luz NHS, Vito ES, Madridejos NHS, & Inghoy NHS)
The sponsors who made a significant impact on COA-PH were recognized as well, namely: AFD, Lamac Cebu, Sun Life Foundation, France Parrainages, Cassiopeia, VHC, and RAFI.
A raffle draw was held at the end of the program. Cash prizes and appliances were given away to those who were luckily drawn.
Above all, Children of Asia Philippines has been genuinely grateful for the dedication of each of the members of the team. Their teamwork will bring them to greater heights. Together, they can consistently achieve more and serve more children and communities.
